Privacy notice
This notice covers baeditions.co.uk only. The labels we own run their own storefronts, and each one publishes its own notice covering orders, payment and delivery.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the company trading as BAE Editions. The registered name, company number and registered office are being confirmed and will be published here before this site accepts enquiries in production.
What we collect
- What you type into the enquiry form: your name, your email address, your company if you give one, the nature of your enquiry and your message.
- A timestamp, and the country and network your request came from, taken from the connection itself. We use it to throttle abuse of the form.
There are no advertising cookies on this site, no analytics cookies, and no third party tracking pixels. Nothing is stored in your browser.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR: you contacted a business and that business needs to read the message in order to reply to it. If your enquiry turns into a trading relationship, the basis for what follows becomes performance of a contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for twenty four months from the last message in the thread, then deleted. Anything that has become an order, a supply agreement or an accounting record is kept for as long as the law requires, which for UK company records is six years.
Who else sees it
This site runs on Cloudflare, which processes the request and stores the enquiry on our behalf. Email is handled by our mail provider. Neither sells your data and neither uses it for their own marketing. We do not pass enquiries to anyone else, and we do not use them for a mailing list.
What you can ask for
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to us holding it at all. Use the enquiry form on the home page and say so. We answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Age
This site is for adults. It is a trade and corporate page, it carries no explicit material, and it is not directed at anyone under eighteen. We do not knowingly hold information about children.
